Drummond Field

Home of the Yellow Jackets (1957-1972)

Based upon available records, the Sprayberry Football team played at least 16 seasons at what was once known as "Drummond Field".  It is unknown for whom the field was named, but it believed to have been at the site of The Walker School's current football field, known as "Robertson Field".

It is estimated that Drummond Field could accommodate approximately 1,000 seated spectators.  A simple scaffolding and plank structure was eventually replaced by a small, enclosed press box.
