From The ECHO (Spring 1999):
"The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets started the season off with a big win over the Walton Raiders. Sprayberry went on to play the Pebblebrook Falcons. The Jackets played Etowah for their Homecoming game and won. They always fought and played a hard game.
The Jackets were stinging under a new Heach Coach, Billy Hamilton. He's brought the Jackets to a new level. Coach Hamilton said, 'Hard work, discipline, dedication, great days, and success' make a good team.
Seniors Jay Dally and Gerald Gober... returned... to help lead our team to victory. Juniors Brett Vavra and Joel Hazard return[ed] for their Senior year[s] as well. The team members are hoping to have strong, dedicated players... [who] can lead the team."
